Year 10s visit the University of Manchester

A group of Year 10s recently visited the University of Manchester to gain an insight into what being an undergraduate might be like. Students took a tour of the campus, with highlights including a visit to a modern lecture theatre, a trip to the Students’ Union and a look inside the incredible Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD) which is the UK’s largest engineering campus.

There were graduation ceremonies taking place on the day so the group also got to see some of the university’s graduates enjoying their success, kitted out in full cap and gown.

The trip has got students thinking about whether university might be an option for them in the future and which subject areas might interest them. We are looking forward to taking another group to the university in May.
