Celebrating a great set of GCSE exam results

We were thrilled to celebrate a great set of GCSE exam results with our school leavers in August. Chapel High has had another successful year with many of our students achieving the highest possible grades for their courses which is fantastic.

This set of positive results means that this group have been able to secure their place for post-16 provision, with students going on to access a wide range of providers and courses including A Levels, BTECs and apprenticeships.

This year group felt a significant impact of the Covid pandemic, missing the end of Year 6 and then their start to secondary education being significantly disrupted. Despite this, our students have demonstrated real resilience in their learning which has led to these successful examination outcomes.

We always strive to provide students with the opportunity to study for a wide range of option subjects. This year students have again achieved some strong grades in three modern foreign languages. There are also some brilliant results in a variety of creative subjects, as well as the achievements in the core academic subjects.

Chapel High is a highly inclusive school and we know that success means different things for each of our students. We are extremely proud of the wonderful cohort of young people who left our Learning Support department this year having developed important independent living and employability skills. We are also especially proud of some of our students who have had to deal with significant mental and physical health challenges and have still left school with some impressive qualifications.

Headteacher, Greg Raynor, said, “We are so proud of our 2025 cohort and the work they have put in to achieve these results. For teachers, results day is one of the highlights of the year as we are able to celebrate our students and their successes.”
