Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition

After completing their GCSE exams, some of our year 11 students, accompanied by school staff, headed into the Staffordshire Moorlands to complete the last section, the expedition, of their Duke of Edinburgh's award. Over the course of two days, carrying all of their food and equipment, they walked from Pym Chair to The Roaches, camping at the wonderful Gradbach Scout Camp.

The Duke of Edinburgh programme aims to empower young people building confidence and resilience. We have one of the largest cohorts of secondary school students in Derbyshire participating and, importantly, we often have the best completion rate in Derbyshire.
