At the end of November our Year 10 GCSE Drama students staged their very first performance of the year. And what a fantastic show it was, with lots of laughs and dramatic lows.
The group tackled the tragic story of Antigone with a full ensemble chorus. The actors were only given three and a half weeks to prepare for the task, with some students not having performed since primary school, and they really rose to the challenge!
It has been a huge learning curve for them all. Having the chance to perform to a supportive audience has enabled them to develop key skills, on and off the stage, for their future performances. The whole cast have grown and blossomed into a great drama group and their team working skills have been amazing. We are so proud of their achievements and can see real talent and flair here. Well done!
