Year 10 Drama performances

Our Year 10 GCSE Drama groups have been busy performing in our studio performance space in preparation for their practical exams next year. The students worked hard as a theatre company, learning their lines and rehearsing their plays to performance standard, before showcasing their work to a packed studio of friends and family.

Group 1 performed “Every Chorus Tells a Story: Antigone”, a play which explores the story of Antigone as she struggles with her loyalties which are divided between her dead brother and living uncle. The tale unfolds through the narration of the Chorus in the classic Greek theatrical tradition.

Group 2 performed “10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse”, a hilarious guide on how to survive in the event of the collapse of civilisation. Should you attempt to reason with the undead, or go to fight them? Performers gave the audience some tips on what to do if the reanimated corpses of your neighbours try to hunt you down!

Along with being an entertaining and creative experience for all, the students have now had a successful run-through before their real practical exam later in Year 11. Well done to all involved and thank you to the supportive audiences who attended.
